Blessing Wachukwu the Founder
The Ministry History
The Candle Light Support Ministries International was started in 2004 by Mrs. Blessing Wachukwu.
Mrs. Blessing Wachukwu is married with four children, and she and her husband lives in the state of Illinois in the United States of America. Blessing is a daughter of a Pastor and Evangelist David I. Igbo, and a registered nurse by
profession. Blessing is a very humble Christian woman very passionate believer of our Lord
Jesus Christ in His vision of the kingdom agenda.
She was saved through Scripture Union Group in January 1973, when she received The Lord Jesus as her Lord and personal Savior.
She worships with the Assemblies of God Church.
Blessing believes that she was inspired by the Holy Spirit to start this ministry (Candle Light Support
Ministries). During the early months of 2004, she started to have this
strong burden to bring clothes and relieves to new pastors. And she had strong
conviction that new pastors need big help.
She believes that each pastor has a divine call and a vision. This pastoral assignment is in form of a lighted candle in the palm of each pastor. She strongly believes that pastors need help to do
their jobs. Some helps may be in form of prayers, educational or financial.
She believes that when God gives you a vision, you have to work it and develop it. She started by
saving money from her poor income towards the start of the ministry.
Blessing started with her first saved money to buy fairly used suits, shoes, shirts, ties, blouses, scarf, food and Bibles.
She ships her collected merchandise which she has collected over the year to Nigeria the country of her origin. Because she believes that your
ministry should always start from home. She went visiting small village churches and gave these things to the pastors.
These experiences kind of inspired her the more, about the needs of pastors of churches in
the very poor communities.
Blessing has also helped bible college students' finish and graduate from bible school.
One of those is now a pastor and another a writer.
Some of the needs of pastors of poor communities include financing of seminars, revivals, crusades, conferences, and providing for the poor members of their congregations.
